Meet Rebecca, Staff Nurse

As a Staff Nurse on our inpatient unit I am responsible for providing daily, personalised care to our patients as part of the wider nursing team. Together we ensure our patients are comfortable during their stay with us, help manage any pain and control symptoms, provide information and be there to support them in their palliative journey. 

How long have you worked at St Rocco’s?

I have worked at St Rocco’s for about five months now.

What is your favourite food?

I love pasta.

What is your favourite song/music?

Too many to list! I absolutely love music and find it enjoyable.  I really enjoy classic rock and one of my favourite bands is Guns n Roses.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself

I am interested in the paranormal ever since being little and have been on several investigations.

What is the best thing about your job?

Seeing the patients smile! My job is rewarding in various ways.  I enjoy supporting the patients and their families, helping them navigate hospice care and putting them at ease.

What do you do to switch off from work?

I have a two-year-old cat called Una, so I enjoy spending time with her.
