Counselling & Emotional Care
It's not just our patients who need our care and support - we help those around the patient, too.
St. Rocco’s offers emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
The Counselling and Emotional Care Service provide one to one Counselling for patients.
Counselling
Counselling provides a private and confidential space to explore feelings and experiences in difficult times. Counselling is accessed via the hub at St. Rocco's which you can contact using the details below.
Bereavement Support
Bereavement Support is accessed through the St. Rocco's Bereavement Cafes, these are run as drop in sessions, no referral is needed. You will be welcomed into café and given the opportunity to talk one to one, or to somebody with a similar bereavement.
They are open to anyone who has been bereaved in whatever circumstances, and however long ago, your loved ones do not need to have been cared for by St. Rocco's for you to access this service.

GriefChat counsellors are experienced in supporting bereaved people. They will listen to your story, explore how grief is affecting you and help you to find additional support you might need.
GriefChat provides a free of charge access service and is available Monday to Friday, 9am-9pm (except Bank Holidays).
The service is available to all St. Rocco's Hospice website users over the age of 18. Where it may be identified that a service user is under the age of 18, GriefChat counsellors will outline the terms of service provision and direct the child/young person to other appropriate provision.
