Meet Elsa Ward, Owner of Palmyra Cocktail Bar
Why did you decide to support St. Rocco’s?
I lost my Mum in 2004 to cancer, she spent the last 4 weeks of her life in St. Rocco’s and the care she received there was unforgettable for me and my family, from the welcoming smiles of the reception staff to the endless cups of teas made by volunteers.
On the evening of my mums passing the nurses that took care of us all, not just my mum were so caring and patient with us and I will never forget the love we felt there. Nothing was too much and this made the precious last few weeks we had that much easier. This beautiful place we call St. Rocco’s and the impeccable care from all the staff involved has always had a place in my heart and myself and the family attend many events throughout the year to continue to support the hospice.
What are you hoping the experience of dancing for St. Rocco’s is going to be like?
Taking part in strictly this year for me is a huge honour and I will do my very best to make my mum proud. Please support me in donating what you can to help the hospice continue its amazing care for the Warrington Community.
